David Buchwald Releases “Together,” First TV Ad of Congressional Campaign

Ad focuses on coronavirus impact on New York, more than 10,000 cases between Rockland and Westchester Counties

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Assemblymember David Buchwald, Democrat running in New York’s 17th Congressional District to represent Rockland and Westchester Counties, has released his first tv ad of the campaign. “” will be featured in digital and television advertising in the coming weeks. It highlights the work of healthcare professionals, first responders, teachers, and community members to protect New Yorkers from coronavirus. 

“Our community, our state, and our nation are in the midst of an unprecedented crisis, made worse by mismanagement and misinformation out of Washington,” said Buchwald. “But here in New York, our healthcare professionals, first responders, teachers, and so many others on the front lines are proving that we are stronger than any pandemic.”

“Even after this crisis, there is going to be a hard road to recovery ahead, and I am running for Congress because I have a record of results, and the experience of making government work by building coalitions to achieve our common goals. We need to keep sight of what’s important now -- standing together and supporting one another -- but we also need to plan for what comes next. It’s time for experienced leadership that delivers.”

Buchwald recently turned in the to qualify for the ballot and has the most endorsements of any Democratic candidate running to represent New York's 17th Congressional District. His growing coalition of support includes more than 50 current and former elected officials, allies in labor, and local Democratic Committees.

Raised in Westchester, Buchwald is in his fourth term as a member of the New York State Assembly and has sponsored 70 pieces of legislation that have become law.
